ALEXSAN KOPANO EDUCATIONAL TRUST
CHAIRPERSON’S REPORT
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2011
OVERVIEW
Over this past financial year the Trustees of the Alexsan Kopano Educational Trust remain unchanged.
The activities of the Educational Trust continue to be project related and fall under three main headings:
- Project development work carried out by the National Facilitator which includes the work of the Alexsan Educational Trust, the Emmaus HIV/Aids Orphan Facility and the Gauteng Organisation of Community Arts and culture Centres (GOMACC)
- Computer studio courses carried out by the Alex and Soweto computer studios
- Library and Child Activities such as trophies for school debates, study guide DVD’s, Newspapers, Christmas Party for the children and Woman’s Day event.
Our warm thanks go to our ongoing project funders being EED Germany, Toyota South Africa and Aristocrat Technologies Africa.
The Community Arts Project through Gauteng Organisation of Community Arts and Culture Centres (GOMACC) implemented funding from the National Lottery Board towards the training and development of arts practitioners in the Province of Gauteng. The National Facilitator in this financial year continued as Treasurer and Administrator.
The HIV/Aids Orphan Facility has been supported by EED Germany with other funders in the pipeline.
